I've started my course Object oriented programming in Java part 1 today. It's a lot of fun to study again. Most of the things I knew already but I have learned some new things too. The pict shows the results of one of the first programs we had to write. I used JCreator as I couldn't get it to work from the command prompt.

Interface for playing 27 video portraits simultaneously or separately is
completed.

Design for business cards to promote the 'In stilte gelaten' book.

I've made some progress with the breathing_time hardware. Together with
Richard (I was his 'lovely assistant') we soldered all the parts on a
compact board. It will be much easier and more wearable to work with.

I've completed the interaction for the stacked portraits. The button
reflects the state of the corresponding portrait: black = not visible, white
= 0.8 opacity, grey = 0.3 opacity. Click to set the portrait as a starting
point, roll over the next buttons to build a portrait over time.

I've downloaded EverNote to collect all the different materials and notes
for my numuseum house/hermitage.

I'm now working on the portrait that consists of slices, one for every day.
I'm very pleased with the result. Now I have to add the interactivity.

I've picked up my 'silent days' piece again. I'm making it all OOP which is
a nice study case while also making a new work. The Portait class loads all
the portraits and sets their initial transparency. One picture shows all 27
portraits at 10% opacity. The other picture shows the results of the combined Portait and P_button
class. The latter draws the buttons and adds the different visual states.
The next step will be to add interactivity and work the transparency of the
portraits through the buttons at the bottom. Looking forward to programming
this :)
